I bought a tub of the above as I figured it would be easier/cheaper than the sachets. I have used in a white/purple grape wine, some turbo cider and a blackberry and nettle teabag wine. Fermentation seemed to start slower than usual and after almost 3 weeks they are still completely opaque and pretty much stopped bubbling. My last (and first) TC was clear and ready to drink after just over two weeks. My question is will the TC be ok to drink like that? And the wine? I'm not really bothered about them clearing as long as they aren't going to make me ill! There is a bit of sediment in the bottom of them.
And I had thought I was doing ok for a newbie too!

I use Youngs and get good results. I get it upto 20% with ease in about 4 weeks.
I've found the key is to use extra nutriant. I also get it clear in around 3-4 days (with finnings).

Enjay i have always used youngs super yeast and didn't know the diammonium phosphate and traces are yeast nutrients so have always added a teaspoon of nutrient, i have never had one stop and they usually finish fermenting from seven to ten days.

Ingredients -
-Bentonite
-Dried Wine Yeast
-Diammonium Phosphate
-Trace Vitamins
-Trace Minerals

I have found you have to degass the wine more than kit instruction say if you want it to clear fast, mine clear in two days using Vinclear, i degass with a cordless drill attachment which is very effective.

Take a gravity sample. If it's low, you're good to go. the fermentation might just not be as apparent to the naked eye, some yeasts barely kick out bubbling co2 or foam at all but ferment just fine. And there's nowt wrong with super wine yeast at all, good to have a general purpose yeast on hand

Ooh I'm not that technical! Will the TC be ok to drink cloudy though? I'm getting thirsty!
