Hi guys,

I have been brewing the youngs harvest stout for 8 days now and the hydrometer reading at the start was 1040 (pretty normal i think) and after 8 days it is only 1010 and has been like that for 2-3 days. I did five it a gentle stir about 3-4 days in and i tried not to get any oxygen into the brew. On the packet it does say brewing takes 5-10 days but the hydrometer reading hasnt changed in the past 2-3 days should i bottle or not?? please help thank you

Bottle when you get a consistent gravity reading over the course of 2-3 days. An FG below 1.006 is a rare thing for as I'm concerned.

ok thank you how much sugar should i prime with 1 pint bottles as i dont want the stout too fizzy????

Bulk priming is the ducks nuts and easy as, google yourself a bulk priming calculator. Takes into account volume of beer, final gravity, carbonation required and fermentation temp.
By bulk priming you can bottle into any size or a mixture of bottle sizes.

Screwy
