Hi i recently purchased a Youngs Brew Buddy kit from wilkinsons, i have some fermeneting and its going good, the one thing im concerned about is that the fermentation bin doesnt have an airlock. The lid just bulges up and im worried because i think its affecting the seal around the fermentation bin, or it just gets to much and actually prevents more yeast from reacting, i dont know if im just coming up with conclusions and its all going to be fine anyway.
After reading alot more about it and watching how to videos etc, all of the people used airlocks to allow the gas to escape.

Has anyone used the Brew Buddy system from youngs? Can you recomend if i should just leave it and not let the gas escape or actively try and botch a hole to fit in airlock in the lid?

Regards
SS

It will be fine, the gas is escaping, bucket lids aren't usually gastight, if it was it would blow off. If it bothers you, just unclip a tiny bit on one side, no bugs will get in, your brew is protected by a head of CO2. I don't have airlocks on my fermenting buckets.
