Hi all,

Thought I'd try a Youngs APA kit, put it on 20 days ago. At an SG reading of 1.006 two days ago I added the hops. Brew now looks like this picture I took this morning. Is that okay? Or should I have left it to ferment a little longer? I was intending to bottle the brew today or tomorrow. Any advice on would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for responding, it's just the hops I added, does look very tea like though! If I leave the hops to settle at the bottom of the FV for a couple of days, they will have been in the brew for 4 or 5 days, isn't that too long? Will it damage the brew?

Can't see the pictures (Dropbox blocked at work) but I'm guessing is shows a nice green sludge on the top?

I normally get this to settle by cold crashing mine. Is there somewhere cold you can put it? This is where brew fridges have there second use, normally set mine as low as it will go a day before bottling or kegging. Also once it's been chilling for a bit give it a few sharp taps on the side of the fermenter, seems to break the surface tension / encourage the crud to drop to the bottom.
