Nice one.

That's not too far away from me. Been meaning to head down for a tour.

Did you buy all your Ingredients from them or just the yeasties?

The tour is good. They are very generous with the samples in the little bar before and after the tour :thumb:

Good to know.

There's the brewery in blandford forum to do as well. The missus mentioned a microbrewery in bath doing tours, lunch n booze and a chat with the brewer thrown in.

I was reading Graham Wheeler's Brew Your Own British Real Ale. He mentions this yeast specifically as one which needs regular rousing. He says it is a 'northern' yeast which originated in Hull and says it should be stirred twice a day during fermentation.

Let the rousing commence!

Just a word of warning on this yeast...

This has got a low flocculation and does need a bit of knowledge to use it. Therefore its was wasted on me!!

I am having carbonation and clearing issues. I have also been in contact with another that has used the yeast and he has ditched 54L (sad times). I am going to contact the head brewer at Ringwood to see if he can shed anymore knowledge.
