No, the yeast will adapt to only convert the simple sugars and won't be able to deal with the complex sugars in your wort.
 
Is brew enhancer just dry malt extract? DME . I don't use it but I think it is.

If so you want about 100g in 1 litre but it depends what you are starting with and what its going into. Have a look on Mr malty website. Really good info on yeast starters.
 
No brew enhancer is a 50/50 mix of DME and brewing sugar!
I'll buy a bag of DME and then i;ll be sorted for 5 or so starters.

another way Andy is make up a batch of beer (just for starters and you can freeze un used wort for other starters) base malt at between 1030- 1040 and boil with a couple of hops , much cheaper , i have yet to do this as i can't be bothered and i just use 100g dme in 1l of water plus boil etc.
