Is there something I can add that will aid settlement on the bottom of the bottles?
I have three brew in bottles done over the past 4 weeks and the stability in the bottles is almost nil! When I pick a bottle up to inspect I can see the stuff in the bottom of the bottle swirl round.

some yeast pack down better than others but all are improved by adding finings adjuct (isinglass) a couple of days before bottling.

I would be wary about adding finings as it can cause 'fluffy bottoms' in the bottle which are easily disturbed.

I find time is one of the best things, that and making sure that I don't bottle with too much yeast in suspension. Ideally you want to end up with a paint thin layer on the bottom of the bottle and no more

I think you may have hit it Mole, and put my mind at rest. I may have got more patient.
When I brewed 35 years ago I always remember disturbed yeast in bottles and glasses and the taste, gave up brewing in the end . :nono:
On returning a few years ago I thought yeast had become more stable these days but it may well be down to me talking my time a bit more. :( :?
