Well I have had a last ditch attempt at my wheat beer to try and restart fermentation so I hope it will work.
Well my next kit is a coopers Canadian blond and was wanting to know which yeast to use? All I have heard is the kit yeast is pants so want to give this approach a go so any input will be greatly appreciated.

I am not aware there is anything wrong with the kit yeast. It is an Ale yeast rather than a true Lager yeast, but unless you have a temperature controlled fermentation chamber then this will be a benefit too you.

I would be inclined to brew the kit as per the instructions before you try changing things. The yeast may not give you the flavors you are looking for, but until you have used it you won't know.

The Coopers kits all seem to be held in high regard as they are so I'd go with it as is. Make sure you aerate the wort well before pitching the yeast, and then keep an eye on the temperatures and all should be fine.

I have done the Coopers Canadian Blonde a few times and the kit yeast is fine. I tried US-05 yeast once and it took forever to condition and produced a very dry tasting beer. I much prefer the standard item. Happy drinking :drink:
