Did a WOW yesterday and had a tub of nutrient on stand by in case i didn't have enough in the present tub, which as it turns out i had plenty. When i shook the new tub i thought that it felt a bit solid so opened it to see what it was like. It had in fact set like a clump of sugar you sometimes get in a caddy. I wouldn't throw sugar away due to a bit of clumping so is there any detriment to the nutrient which is well in date and unopened before yesterday.

I would use it but double the amount that I put into a brew. (i.e. Two teaspoonful instead of one per 23 litre brew.)

Alternatively, had I bought it in my local Wilco shop as usual, I would take it back and request a replacement ...

... but only after removing the first two teaspoonful.

Mine have never been rock solid but have been a bit solid (for want of a better description) if it doesn't smell unusual I would use it.

i just broke up the clumps and used some that was 3 years old in my current batch - if it looks oK and smells OK, it's OK. I think nutrient is just minerals and nothing to go off, as others have said.
