Year old hops. Should I?

Hey guys, I took a bit of a break from brewing and still have some leaf and pellet hops in the freezer. I had a look and a smell at them and they seem to be fine.

Do you think they will be ok to use for dry hopping?

Yeah, go for it, maybe just add a few more than you originally planned, it'll be just fine :thumb:

What @Strollon15 said. There is an online calculator somewhere that will tell you how many extra hops to use based on their age.

I used some 2012 hops the other week which hadn't been opened. I used slightly more than the recipe suggested and it came out fine.

As they've been kept cool they shouldn't have lost too many acids or resins.
