Hi folks, I bought one of these PID'S on a drunken whim a few weeks ago and have since realised its the wrong sort C100FK02-M*EN, so it's got a relay output and is set up for K type thermocouple.

I've read a few posts on here about people changing the set up over to a pt-100 sensor, but I think I've got another issue in that the terminal that one of the three pt100 wires goes into is missing as it wasn't needed for the K type.

Any way aroung this? I was thinking I could rob a terminal that I'm not going to use such as the alarm and stick it in slot 8?

As far as the internal relay, I've seen that some people have removed it and added jumpers across the board so they can use an SSR output.
I had this PID assigned as a flash thermometer until I read that post and now I'm wondering if it can be saved to run an element?

This post viewtopic.php?f=13&t=20529 has info and links to another forum that gave me info on how to solder a wire to give me SSR control rather than the internal relay, prtty straightforward to do. Theres also info in there on how to re-program the PID to a PT100, however if your missing the terminal for it to attach to then i'm not sure if that will work..

Mine came with relay output and programmed for a K-type, however was not missing any termnals so it was easy enough to change the input. And as i have mentioned a quick solder job took care of the relay output. In the end I didnt remove it - you can still hear it clicking away - i just jumped wires round it.

Now this is one useful post, thanks MH. :thumb:

Thanks mhewitson, that is the post that made me think I could save this PID.
I've managed to bodge one of the alarm terminals into slot 8, now to have a go at wiring it...

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic or not...
I linked to the post that gave me the information I needed. I dont like doing all the work for people. One day, I might write up my build in more detail, probably when I buy another PID and remember to take pictures of everything!
