Did a 5 gall batch about 2 months ago and noticed it was not clearing as normal, there was quite a heavy sediment which i racked off and topped up with white grape juice then de-gassed, chemicals etc, 5 days ago i added a 2 pack clearing liquid and there is sediment in the bottom of the fv but it is still not clearing, i always use pectolase so that should not be the problem, i am getting quite desperate now as the empty bottles are coming thick and fast and i have nowhere left to put them, our kitchen is small and even making a sandwich is becoming a logistical problem, help, Dave NE

you could try filtering it with a harris filter. I borrowed one a few months back makes the world a clearer place

Never thought of that mate, doh, i have 3 in the cupboard (dont ask), cheers and thanks Dave ps didnt think of filtering as i have never had a problem for years

I had a big problem with my WOW not clearing too, left it for 2 months au natural but never cleared. Tried bentonite powder and ended up looking lik a jelly fish in the bottom re racked it off that, still not clear. In the end i got a new batch of Kwikclear brought over and that did the trick in 24 hours - best stuff going i reckon too crystal clear now. :thumb:

Put the brew throught my filter and not a bit of difference, added 10 tsp of pectolase, see if that does the trick, Dave

Still not clearing so i will try another 2 pack and see what happens, Dave

Its starting to clear now, phew, the first 2 pack must have been a duff batch. I found a spare 1 litre carton of Morrison orange juice and started a 1 gall brew and noticed a heavy sediment near the bottom of the carton, dont ever use this for making wows as it throws the heaviest sediment i have ever had, that wont be a problem for me though as i have barred myself from ever setting foot in one of their shops again, long story, Dave NE
