It depends on the job of course and my personal opinion is that you should never have 1 set CV, your CV should be tailored for the job you are applying for.If you are applying for a job as a counter clerk in a bank, probably a good move to leave out home brewing.If you are applying for a job with a practical element with no huge responsibilities then why not, it's a talking point.I interview quite a few people in my job role, and the first thing I look at on on a CV is "hobbies/interests" then it's experience that matches the position i'm interviewing for, then it's qualifications."hobbies and and interests" for me is an important section on a CV.
