hello

i have been successfully brewing coopers australian lager for a while now.

however, i do like a nice pint of bitter now and again and from reading many posts on here, wherry has caught my attention.

before i place an online order, could anyone please tell me if i will need to get any additional equipment? when i am ready for a brew day i like to know i have everything needed to ensure everything goes smoothly.

from my original coopers kit i have the 30ltr fermenter, hydrometer and bottles. anything else needed?

want to get cracking with this so any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

I've not long done a Wherry kit. It tastes fantastic, and it's only been in the keg for about three weeks. I take it you've got a long spoon to give it a good stir, and some sterilising powder?

I swapped the kit yeast for some S-04 and also put some gelatin in with the priming sugar to help clearing. thats all I'd suggest.

From what I've seen on here... there's been a few issues with Wherry brews stopping and starting... I've not done one myself, but I reckon changing your yeast as suggested might solve that.

I have done a different Woodforde's kit, Nelson's Revenge, which was excellent; and have had an absolute storming success recently with Coopers English Bitter... there's plenty out there to get your tastebuds into.

Good luck. :thumb:
