can anybody advise on improving the wherry kit, or to just brew it as a kit , read a few posts where they changed the yeast.
as its my next kit i thought i might try tinkering with this .cheers.

Hi Baz, I did the Wherry recently (last month) and I used Safale-04 yeast rather than the kit yeast (£1.95 for Safale-04 or thereabouts).

Whilst I've not done it with the kit yeast, I read the posts on here, and went with S-04 so I didn't get a stuck fermentation - went like a rocket and cleared really well.

I have to say it was a beautiful pint, sadly all consumed now.

You could dry hop it - not sure what hops they use for the kit, but for a good ferment use the S-04.

I believe a couple of members have done Elderwherry - I am guessing with some Elderflowers during initial ferment.

Brew it a bit short at 36 or even 32 pints. It's amazing.
