Got a WLP380 Hefe yeast starter on the go and it's very eggy.

Hope thats normal?

I`ve used it a couple of times and there was quite a sulphury smell, not horrible but there - it finishes (in the bottle) with more clove / bubblegum with some banana ( I found). Both my hefes turned out really well - the yeast really makes the beer with this one wez, whats your recipe?

1.048
20 IBU
Pale 50%
Wheat Malt 50%
Hersbrucker full boil to 20 IBU
WLP380

Keeping it simple for my first attempt at it

looks good wez :thumb: I found that as soon as it was bottled and carbonated it was ready to go - best drunk young

There were a few unpleasant smells wafting over the Warwickshire countryside that weekend.

Wasn't just the countryside Dennis......... Did everyone try The Goat's Milk :?

I tried it a week later and it was on top form, apparently there was an oversight on keg venting a our weekend (or lack of) which led to they "eggy goats milk"

Eggy usually indicates poor yeast health or the yeast were stressed in fementation, in a finished beer, not venting.

Lager yeast can be quite sulphury though it will be a good in.
