Previously posted another thread about Superior 7 Wine Kits .
Has anyone done the WE Classic Smooth Red , which is on offer @£41.95 from Brew2Bottle
How long for these kits to become drinkable after fermentation , as some say a week or so , others say several months ..

I've made a few Wine Expert kits over the last couple of years...Chile Merlot and Chile Sauvignon Blanc being the last. I've always waited about 3-4 months after bottling to start drinking, but it always tastes fine when bottling. Great kits that last. Think I currently have 2yr old bottles in my stash, and have had decent bottles that were 10 yrs old previously (tho could have been a different brand).

I’ve made the WE Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon and agree with @Nottsbeer. Perfectly drinkable straight away but quite a bit better a few months later. Have given a few bottles away to friends and, unless they were just being polite, they were pretty pleased with them too.

I’m a regular with WE and find all the kits are excellent. The classic kits are good to go after a couple of weeks clearing. The more expensive WE kits are worth leaving to mature to get the best outta them..last two I did was the smooth red (also on offer) drinking them now,, very nice, u won’t be disappointed.

Just before reading your post (!) have just ordered Winexpert Smooth Classic Red from Brew2Bottle @ £41.95 plus a Magnum Red ( !) - cheap everyday plonk , but amazing good value& a few other kits & extras !
