I started a TC and a wine off at pretty much the same time yesterday. My TC is happily bubbling away but I’ve yet to see any activity from my wine bar a tiny bit of foaming on the surface.

Recipe was 4l of Sainsbury’s red grape juice, a bottle of Wilkos red grape concentrate, tsp citric acid, tsp pectolayse, tbsp of Wilkos yeast compound dry pitched.

To test to see if fermentation has started I tipped a teaspoon of sugar in to see if I had any fizz and nothing happened.

Ive got a glass of sugary yeasty water waiting to foam up and I’m going to throw that in if nothing happens.

Any ideas?

It's often said that patience is one of the hardes things to learn in this hobby and it is, just because one wine or cider is bubbling doesn't mean the other should be give it time it will work, don't keep chucking things into it you are likely to ruin the whole batch.
