Both Wilko kits.
The wine was supposed end its fermentation in 7 days, it actually took 10 days, until Friday last, using carefully controlled 22C. On Friday I decided it had slowed down so I checked the SG and decided it was done. On Friday I added the stabiliser, finings and moved it out to my unheated garden hut. I was then according to the instructions, supposed to leave it 7 days to clear - it cleared very rapidly and I decided to rack it to a second vessel this evening. I will leave it until Sunday, before bottling it up, but I couldn't resist a quick taster - it tastes OK, probably even better once it has matured a bit. Not bad for my first attempt in 25 years
With my first FV now empty and cleaned out, I then got the Velvet stout on, using 500g of sprayed malt and 500g of brewing sugar, in my much cooler utility room, with a 'stat set to keep it at 19C.
