hi troops, abester here, was just watchn how beer saved the world after recording it on sky about 4 months ago, there was a mention of bentonite on it which got me thinking, wine clears very well after using the usual fining agent, would the same fining agents work with beer? or is it because the grape juice is a fruit it needs a certain agent to clear it?

I don't know if you can use wine finnings or not but issinglass works very well for beer. I added it to a cloudy barrel and it was clear within 2 days.

I use isinglass for wien and beer.

I am no expert but i had never considered that some finings can only be used either for beer or wine. I assumed most finings would be suitable for both beer and wine.

Isinglass works for both, certainly.
