Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire; it is the time for home

Edith Sitwell

I would only add a nice festive/mulled beverage to this list!

I (willy) would love to hear your winter warmer recipes. I mostly stick to mulled wine, mulled cider and hot cinnamon apple juice over spiced rum. Recipes can include mixing pre-brewed drinks, or I would love to here any festive brews, sloes this weekend, got that one covered ;)

we're into autumn fruit port, mulled wine and cider (naturally! apple, lemon and orange with spices and dark sugar, omnomnom) but you can't beat a strong belgian by the fireside :thumb:

A strong Belgian? ooerr missus!

Elderberry Stout for the winter solstice, Barley wine for Christmas and my wee 9% Scottish heavy for Hogmanay and a bottle of Lagavulin Islay malt.
