I am still mulling over the best way to give a little bit of false bottom space under my perforated s/s sheet mash tun false bottom.
If I use 6mm long bolts through the 1mm thick false bottom sheet with a spring washer and a nut will that leave a bit of the bolt protruding through the nut as I am worried that the metal of the nordic optical pots seems thin and I don't want to make a load of indentations in it each time I brew.
Even if the bolt finishes flush with the nut (or I get it flush with extra washers etc) will that still cause damage?
Cheers
