I am still mulling over the best way to give a little bit of false bottom space under my perforated s/s sheet mash tun false bottom.
If I use 6mm long bolts through the 1mm thick false bottom sheet with a spring washer and a nut will that leave a bit of the bolt protruding through the nut as I am worried that the metal of the nordic optical pots seems thin and I don't want to make a load of indentations in it each time I brew.
Even if the bolt finishes flush with the nut (or I get it flush with extra washers etc) will that still cause damage?
Cheers

If you are worried use Dome nuts . . . I haven't found it to be an issue with my 24L Thermobox

I've not yet played with my 80L and the 50L is still in transit

Many thanks for the work that you have put into your excellent guide Vossy.
