hi mick here... .
2night i done my wilko dark velvet stout...
so i sanitised every thing and got started...
i warmed up the kit in some boiling water ...
for about 5 mins...
as this was going on i boiled 6 pints of water to mix with the brew ...
i opend the kit and poored it into the fv...
i gave this a dam good whisking with my sanitised whisk...
then in went my beerkit enhancer ....
and another dam good whisking this time for about a good 5 mins ...
then i topped it up to 40 pints with cold water...
my first reading was 1.034 at 23c...
and so i pitched the yeast at 23c...
i then snapped the lid on and taped it in place to form a good seal...
and put my air lock in ...
then it was time to put it in my up stairs cupboard...
it will stay in here for the next 8 days...
along with my other brews...
i hope you liked these pics ...
regards mick... .
