Picked this up , this is my plan , I’d appreciate your thoughts;

add 500g light malt and 750 dextrose

60g hellertau hops- dry hop in Musli

S23 yeast

what kind of strength do you think I’ll achieve with the sugars I’ve listed

thanks all

Depends on how much water you add, a 23 litres batch would be 4.6%, OG 1043 FG 1008.

Cheers Cheshire

I’d like more strength , say 5%, how much more Dex would you add and do you approve of my hop addition

more or less than 60g , think just got some hop additions with it

cheers

How did it end up? What sort of flavour does hellertau give? I have the same kit but I don't want a boring lager

Ay up

well the 1,75kg or was it 2kg of sugars I added was too much , it’s very drinkable but You wouldn’t want too much , 1,5kg of sugars I think would have been sufficent

I put 100g of Hellertau in which is what saved it from being just too much

I’d give this method the thumbs up 👍🏻 but relax on the sugars !!!

All you are likely to need to know in here
https://www.crossmyloofbrew.co.uk/hop-guideUnfortunately all kit lagers tend to be a bit on the boring side however much you tinker with them. Arguably they are the poor relation of kit beers.
