Hi

Started kit off Thursday or Friday morning

If it was Thursday it’s now max 4 days , fermentation has stopped / stalled

Weathers been nice over weekend ? Has fermentation stopped , according to inductions it’s not a beer that takes long to ferment but I’m a bit Worried

Used 1kg brew sugar and 1kg LME

IS yeast supplied with kit insufficient for this qty of sugars

If I use more yeast and fermentation has finished will more yeast taint the flavour of finished brew?

Thank you

I’ve bought two packs 11g from Wilko

Shall I put both in ?

Can’t have finished fermenting thoroughly ?

Only started it last Thursday 😕

If i do a wilko kit i use an 11g pack of gervin and keep the the kit yeast, but you really need to take a reading with a hydrometer, the general rule is 2 week ferment 2 weeks secondry and 2 weeks conditioning, i also throw the instructions in the bin athumb..

Have you taken a SG reading?

No can’t find hydrometer !

Could it have fermented out in just 4 days ?

I’ve added a satchet if yeast 11g dunno what’s happening as I’m in Wetherspoons! 😂

Also just because the airlock is still doesn't mean its stopped, make sure the lid is on properly
[/QUOTL

Lids on mate , tight as a monks foreskin tight 😂

I’ve not given up , hopefully the second sachet of yeast will restart it , I’ll leave it another week , bulk prime it and bottle n see what happens
