Interestingly, in store the offer says free sugar with ANY 40 pint kit. When I bought my Coopers stout from Wilcos the sugar didn't register as free so I challenged them on it and they went and got the shelf sign which did indeed say any kit (as in not limited to Wilco own brand kit) and the Coopers kit quite clearly says 40 pints.

Not that I want to be difficult of course!

I noticed this too, but decided that I really want to find out how well the cheapest kit around will turn out.

i ordered the lager, cerveza and hoppy bitter. I've currently got 60 litres of beer fermenting so no real immediate need to brew anymore, but i might start one this weekend!

Got my delicate Pilsner, sugar, a hydrometer and a pack of bottle caps all for.... £14.50 :thumb:

I was in Wilko on Saturday, saw this offer, mentioned it to SWMBO, even spent a while talking about doing a kit. I just didn't realise how good an offer this was, and ended up going out with just bottle caps, yeast, and some bubble bath (2 for £1 !)

Just collected mine to discover no sugar!
Fortunately, i popped in as I was cycling back from work so opened the box to put it into my bag - so the missing sugar was readily apparent.
If you are ordering on-line, you will need to order beer kits and sugar separately and it will deduct the cost of the sugar at checkout.
If you've already ordered on line and haven't done that, when you go to collect, open the pack, point out the error and ask them to refund you and sell them to you again with the sugar included from the in-store stock.
