Anyone Brewed Wilcos wheat beer? I cant find it on the kit reviews! I enjoy hoegardens wheat beer so looking for something that's similar to that.

Id be interested in doing an AG as I can BIAB now:D
Anyone got a Hoegarden wheat beer recipe?

At £23 for a Wilkos wheat beer kit that's bloody expensive plus the DME plus some liquid yeast and the rest this is going to cost in the region of £30. Pfffffffffffft. Blimey

I've done the wilko wheat and was lovely, only thing I'd add would be dextrose to bump up the alcohol, got lovely banana tastes going on, definitely doing again soon

You have the burco now Rob, so why don't you put your own AG recipe together after researching the main ingredients and post it up and let the good folks on here offer advice?

This is true :) I shall do this. :D you see their I was thinking about kits. Pffffft no need anymore ha ha haaa
So hoegarden wheat beer clone is my mission. Unless I find someone has already done one : /

If I remember, isn't it orange peel (which I've seen in Leyland Rob) and coriander that gives it it's distinctive taste. I do love a wheat beer.

Saw this on some Aussie forum found through Google

Ingredients

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.50 KG Liquid Wheat Malt Extract
1.50 KG Pilsener Malt
1.00 KG Unmalted Wheat
0.20 KG Flaked Oats

50/50 Styrian Goldings and Saazer Hop pellets to 16 IBU\'s
15 g Saaz pellets to finish.

25g Ground Coriander Seed
Small jar of bitter marmalade (or try 20-30g of oven dried mandarine peel)

Well I dunno ifn I can call it a wheat beer, but I added just over 41% unmalted wheat to a brew today as an experiment. I'll do a brewday post in a bit when I get time

40.6 % Maris otter
41.2 % Unmalted wheat
18.2 % Irish pilsner malt

hopped with First gold
