Last night I had a bottle of my #1 AG Initiation Brew ........ luverly

then I tried a bottle of #2 AG Golden Promise Pale Ale ..... quite good but needs a bit longer

then I had a bottle of Badgers Golden Champion, up to now quite a favourite of mine :hmm: suddenly find I prefer my own

I found the BGC too fizzy and not as much body  why am I not surprised I prefer my own  it's fun to do, it's as good if not better than the stuff you buy & it's a hell of a lot cheaper to brew your own :thumb:

cheers lads

My former favourites were Hobgoblin and Old Peculier, but I've found exactly the same.

Good, this brewing lark, innit? :thumb: :drink:

I have found myself sampling a few commercial brews and thinking "Hmm could do with a bit longer to mature" :D Esp. the ones with black malt in them, I find it too harsh in a fresh brew. Maybe it is just me :)

Although given the cost of beer these days the only way I can afford to drink it is to make my own

Now thats a milestone in AG brewing!

I remember that defining moment too. The very first time I drank a craftbrewed beer and honestly thought " hmmm it's good........... but I think I've done better"

Very satisfying moment in time for the AG brewer :thumb:
