Just looking for some reassurance.

I have a lager kit in a PB since Saturday. Today i have noticed a white layer/line on top of the beer. I don't want to open the lid as its priming in there. It looks about 2 or 3 mm high, like a white thin fermentation head.

Any Ideas?

Zgoda,

its just a bog standard Youngs lager kit for SWMBO. I know that lager in a PB is not ideal but i have run out of Cornies and Bottles...

Seems to be my biggest problem at the moment, i have a Coopers real ale on the go and no where to put it when its ready

Most of so called lager kits have ale yeast attached, Notty or S-04, or other similar.

Did you check it had stopped fermenting before you barreled it?
Also could it be from the secondary fermentation?
