Hi all, will be doing a coopers ipa soon have been reading reveiws which say it would be nicer with extra hops added, which hops would go well with this ,many thanks all,

Hello!

have a search for Hop Tea.. just boil the hops for 5-10mins to get the aroma and add to the unfermented beer. I prefer cascade, its a US classic and is widely used in the current trend of pale beers.

I think its usually recomended to boil part of the wort with the hops (with water) But only a small amount is needed really. I forget why and its intirely possiable that its not true, but if it is, it'll be on this forum. Do a quick search there are those more experianced than myself! 15-10mins boil will give your more flavour of the hops and some slight bitterness later additions add to aroma.

It does make a difference in kits! I did it with coopers IPA and it turned out rather nice. :D
