Which commercially availabe bottles?

I may have a source of used bottles from a pub I used to frequent ~ but the landlord has asked which ones I want keeping back. Are there any types that are better than others? What about Magners bottles ~ he reckons he goes through loads of those and they aren't returnable (which I think is crazy :evil: ). Would they be any good, or are they too weedy? Will they take a standard crown cap?

I have used magners in the past they take a standard crown cap and are strong they hold a full pint too good but not so good if you are using them for very strong brews. Also if he can get you grolsch swing tops that would be a big score!

magners and bulmers are your best bet from a pub :thumb: dont bother with any thin lager bottles, unless you are lucky enough to find grolsh swing tops
