just brewed woodforde's wherry all went ok but it did'nt say whether to stir the yeast in
or leave it sitting on top of the brew.

on all my 3 previous brews (which were lager), it said to stir in,
can any one tell me if it makes any difference whether stired or not
seens as i am a complete novice and this being my first bitter brew
i stired in the yeast. :wha:

any other tips on this brew much appreciated.

by the way just like to say how usefull and important this forum is to the
likes of me who are complete novices.. cheers all

it`ll be fine - a lot of people just sprinkle dried yeast on top, but a stir will help things along :thumb: One of my first kits was a wherry and if your patient and allow it to condition for 5weeks its a pretty good pint

I only started kit brewing 10months ago and the forum helped me turn to the dark side  13 all grain brews done to date

It will be ok just sprinkled, if you do stir it in make sure whatever you stir it in with is sterilie :!:

Any further tips give it at least 6 weeks in a keg before drinking it.
