Hi, i was refcently thikning of doing a slightly hopped wheat beer, however have no experience of wheat beer at all so just guessed at a recipe and thought id run it by a few of you lot first. I know there are a few of you that do a lot of wheaties so please put me wrong if im completely on the wrong track. Heres what i was thinking:

3.75kg marris otter
2.75kg wheat
250g flaked wheat
250g munich

with 60g of northdown for full 60 min boil
and 30g of amarillo for last 5 mins

was gonna go for the saflager weihenstephan and ferment highish for banana-y esters??? (thought it may be nice with the tropical amarillo)

Like i said got no idea really about wheat beers so please be gentle, but at the same time if im gonna make a complete balls up of it let me know,
Thanks Matt.

Why are you using a lager yeast for a wheat beer? WB-06 would be a better option for a beer like this, especially is it's the phenols and esters that you are after.
