Hi,
I'm brewing a wheat beer from kit, it's my first wheat beer and I'm having a few issues, so some advice is what I need?
I used a Mangrove Jacks british series kit (not sure if they're in the UK?) added a 1.5kg of liquid wheat malt extract and about 20g coriander seeds and orange peel.
OG was 1056 and I pitched at about 26 C. The brew started fermenting about 12 hours later and was really lively, then after 3 days had pretty much stopped. I checked the gravity and it was 1020 and it stayed at 1020 for 3 days so I gave it a stir but 5 days later it's still at 1020. I could probably live with this however the smell is quite cidery? I've tasted a little and although there is a fruitiness to it, it's quite a strong fruity taste, not what I was expecting, almost bordering on old/off fruit juice??
I suppose what I'm asking is, have I lost the brew?
Cheers,
