I really like wheat beer, but I really like hops too.

I'm thinking about an IPA hop schedule, 30-40 IBUs, more flavour and aroma than bitterness, and 50/50 wheat malt and pale malt, then fermented with a wheat beer yeast for banana flavour.

Anyone done it?

I've brewed a White IPA after hearing of one brewed in the US.
I used a ratio of about 80% lager malt and 20 % wheat.

Hopped using Apollo, Cascade, Simcoe and Citra.
Also added coriander seed, grains of paradise and orange peel.

i think you'll lose at lot of the profile if you have lots of hops , but if you use wlp300 and do a 20 min rest at 41c to help you should be able to have good clove + banana still. maybe anyway . worth a try .
