Well I really enjoyed that, Mrs. Mole was on a late shift so I was on kitchen duty, and I've just done a grade B haggis*, champit tatties (no bashed neeps), peas, carrots & home grown runner beans, haggis gravy, with a side order of Talisker.

What have you had, or what's on the menu for tomorrow?

* Official haggis grades:
A - wild, ghillie caught
B - free range
C - battery

Well done for making your own Haggis, however its much more fun chasing and catching a fresh one :thumb:

Easy evening meal tonight

Quick home-made curry for us tonight busy day, but in a couple of weekends time i'm smoking a beef brisket (sp) texan style - looks like it'll take about 10hrs so an early morning getting ready for hungry mouths.

haggis should only be served with neeps n tatties, its an insult to the haggis putting peas and carrots on the same plate. you should be ashamed of yourself mr mole. :D

I had a frozen chicken and asparagus pie for dinner (pee smells funny  ).

However I did pickle some beetroot from the garden the other day. Supposed to leave it 6 weeks before eating it.

wait and see ya pee after the beetroot....

we had some of our beetroot today... unpickled..... we roast it whole in the oven [wrapped in tin foil for around an hr,] when cooking something else.. it comes out great and no mess
we also pickle it in a chillie oil ...great after a few months... :thumb:

Chippy in Yorkshire..
Been saving up for two weeks and just had enough to buy a fish to lay beside the chips.... well sexy! ;) ;)

We know how to live around here, buy on't the chuckie and pleasure ourselves at the local chippie!!

While rooting about in the freezer t'other day realised I hadn't cooked any mince-based meals for ages so did a chili con carne tonight. Came out pretty well, though not the best I've ever done.

Turmeric goes straight through too, for example if you're partial to cheese & piccalilli sarnies you get dayglo wee.

A word of caution guys, mind which bits of your todger you touch if you go to the loo after chopping chillies, even if you have washed your hands 6 times since.

Anyway, daughter has done pretty well in her GCSE modules so tonight was her choice of takeaway, which was Chinese.

I've had my new smoker on the go since 3pm . . . Stuffed full of meat now
