Hi all iv been adding finning in to the beer witch has gave good results but today iv been told to add sugar as well but I'm trying to keep to co2 down as its real ale any advise folks ?

just add a small amount of sugar , you will want some co2 to protect your brew from air which will turn your brew bad

Ok put suger in but made my brew to sweet so now I'm filling the space left over with co2 from cylinder and as its Heaver then air it will push the air out there for it will keep for longer.

the best way ive found is to chill a few points over fg and rack after 4 days straight into pin or firkin and let it ferment ou in it for a few weeks

ive won quite a few beer festivals doing this......
