I'm in the process of creating labels for my first AG brew. Am all sorted with the front label (Bishops finger inspired/knock off) but am stuck with the wording to put on the back. Just want something really to say why the sediment is there and best pouring practices. Any ideas? Every time I try it comes out childlike.

"This beer contains sediment as a product of natural conditioning. Pour carefully to ensure the finest drinking experience"

I like it. Will expand it a little bit, but it’s a good starting point. Cheers.

Ok, how does this sound?

" This beer contains sediment as a by-product of being naturally conditioned in the bottle. For optimum results, chill slightly and allow all sediment to fully settle before opening. Pouring carefully in one smooth motion, leaving the last quarter inch of beer in the bottle will ensure the finest drinking experience!!! "

how about Rinse when empty
Good idea, will update to include that and also to return the empty bottle

Nothing much happening at work so will upload them now, still a work in progress mind :D. If anyone wants the templates i'm willing to share. am thinking of adding thehomebrewforum web address just incase anyone who gets their hands on a bottle will be directed to a friendly place. Might get them interested in having a go themselves.

Cheers muddydisco, thanks also for the guide of how to upload images, every helpful, even if photobucket playing up at the moment.

I have been dabbling with the idea of beer labels but my laziness always gets in the way :( any hints or ideas on how you came up with your labels. :wha: An excellent job by the way well done

I still can't see these in the post But I can view them in Photobucket.
Jambanks Try uploading them again and deleteing those one's Looks like photobucket is stopping something somewhere?

To be honest, i got the idea for this label from a bishops finger bottle. Found a pic of the label on the internet and imported it into AutoCAD, the then traced over the outlines to get the label shape and flow then imported that into coreldraw where i added the txt and color. Pretty sure you can do it all in coreldraw, but i use AutoCAD daily so easier this way for me.

As for ideas of what to put on them, i like to see:
Beer Name
Brewery Name
Pouring Instructions (optional, but lets ppl know why there is sediment in there, alot of people won't know)
ABV
Units (optional, but i think it gives a good look
Volume (optional prob wont be accurate unless you measure will filling but again gives a good look)

Ok, after messing about abit this morning i have managed to get the pics upload. Think it might have been because i exported the coraldraw file to a jpg (not sure if it was a true jpg if you know what i mean :? ) Anyway i have kind of cheated and just scanned them in on the works scanner (bit of quality loss, but you get the idea of the label). Back label is hard to read on the screen but tested it on a bottle last night and it looked good.
