Well, it dawned on me I have 3 packets of hops open, so they're probably gonna go off at some point. Just made a bitter using northern brewer to bitter and a combination of bobek and goldings for aroma, pale and caragold malts.
Here's what I got open;
Hallertau Northern Brewer
Bobek
Goldings
Bramling Cross
Here's what I got not open (from memory!);
Aurora
Cascade
Mt Hood
Saaz
Malts;
Caragold
Caramalt
Crystal low colour
Torrified Wheat
CaraPils
I generally like light ales and make a lot of goldens/bitters/lager-ish beers, but I'm open to suggestions on what to do, preferably I'd like to use my open hops before they start going out of date!
I also have an idea in mind to make a light beer with indian spices (fennel, coriander etc) so if I could tie that in with this, that'd be great!
