I have been given quite a large amount of rose petals but I have no idea what to do with them. They smell fantastic and I really don't want to do something that will waste the smell/flavour. I thought maybe sticking some in vodka with some sugar and leaving it for a while, sloe gin style. Is there a wine recipe anyone's tried?

Scattering them on a freshly made bed, infused with mood lighting and smooth FM produces very good results.. (but not 100% of the time).

Thanks Rob, I was looking at this earlier in fact but I wasn't sure whether the freshness of the petals would matter, that's why I thought I'd post here. I think I'll give the first one a try when I next have a demijohn free! I'll still have some roses left to try the rose gin/vodka plan.

Haha, they're not the nicest of looking rose petals Darcey but perhaps you have a point!

Edit: Found this idea, will try and do something like this too.
