what to do with hops once opened

how do you guys keep your hops once the vacume packet has been opened

Vacuum pack the remaining hops and freeze them

Seal em up as best I can (wrap in cling film and tin foil as I have no vac pac machine) and stick em in the freezer.

Ideally freeze them, if you can`t make sure they are stored in a cool dry place

Looking to order on-line a sack of grain and hops for my first set of brews.

Can hops be frozen and defrosted several times?

Would I better off dividing up for each separate recipe before I freeze them?

Got a few brews I want to do but not all of them I would get from 1 sack.

I ordered enough grain hops etc to do 5 brews, the hops that I opened to use on brew 1 those that were unused out of the pack I weighed out for each of the next individual brews and then froze labelled with weight and brew number :!:

A bit of a parp, but that way nothing gets wasted, apart from a bit of cling film and foil, I cilng film first then make a foil envelope, it's easier to write on the foil with a permanent marker
