Just bought some Apollo and Tettnang hops and tryqing to put an extract recipe together but not sure how best to use them.

The Apollo has particular high AAUs, 20% I think. Should I use this for bittering only or can I chuck some in for flavouring/finishing as well? The tettnang is reasonably low so was thinking about using this for finishing, what kind of flavours or aromas have you got with these?

I also have some marris otter but believe they cannot be steeped, only mashed, so should I save them for when I go AG?

check out the Basic AG method. viewtopic.php?f=36&t=28721

Give it a go. You can BIAB in a small pan. I am hoping to try this method out soon.

I've got a 15L pan so will do a stovetop BIAB (aiming for 9L ish). You can do your MO mash in the pan by turning off the heat and wrap the pan in a blanket.

Sorry don't know about those hops though...
