Since joining the site, I have put on turbo cider, raspberryade, wow and mead. I've also ordered the gear for kit brews. None of it is ready for drinking though.

So what do you do while you're waiting??!

get another brew on......." shimple tch."

always have at least 2 fv. one with a brew fermenting ( 10 days or so ) and when thats ready for bottling or moving into 2nd fv... get another brew started. Stocks soon build up.
In the meantime theres lots of cleaning and sterilising ( fun things ) to do. :D
Planning storage space building cabinets. I find lots of things to occupy my time. and then there's designing new brews to be done ordering ingredients. Trapping mice is another time consuming occupation....
and of course eventually enjoying your beer

Haha well I've only got 1 dj left just now which I need for racking etc so until some of it is bottled there's not much I can do. I reckon the raspberryade will be ready to bottle anytime so planning on doing a wine with that raspberry polish syrup.

Everything is clean and sterile but I always do it again the day I do anything. Is that overkill or can I leave it lying and use as is?

Nope, clean as you go is the way forward. :thumb:

I rinse my beer bottles straight away and leave them to soak.
Then I clean them with bleach solution and cold water rinse.
Followed by a spray inside with videne solution and capped off with a tin foil wrap.

When it comes to bottling day I get the bottle tree out and bottle rinser, all the bottles get rinsed with videne solution again, crown caps sterilised and away we go.

Same with all my brew equipment ,FV's wort boiler, mash tun all cleaned and sterilised after use.

again ! I'm on third set of plans already.... :D

Cheers BaldBrewer. That's what I thought but there was always hope haha.

I'll see how I'll get on with kits before considering AG. In the meantime I'll just have to check how my brews are getting on. Amazing how entertaining airlocks are!

have you designed the labels for you bottles yet?

That can take a while, so get going on that whilst you're waiting.

Haha never thought about labels. Good idea. :-)
