I pitched my yeast Sunday morning and today it's bubbling away nicely, only thing that I've never had before is, I can't seem to see a krausen on top but there is clumps below the surface. I haven't opened the lid and don't intend to, I know its early days but I was wondering what an infection looked like

It can look like a lot of things but the prettiest have to be pellicles. Google for "homebrew pellicle" and click on the Images tab.

It's rather unlikely you've got an infection at this early stage. They do take a while to develop and you're probably seeing clumps of yeast.

Thanks everyone, I've just never had this before and I did leave it to cool overnight for the first time and pitched at 26.9 instead of below 25
