Beavertown Smog Rocket. Lovely.

I tried a pint of the Quick Cider (from Lidl's Apple Juice) tonight. It's a bit dry but looking good for warmer days.

It felt quite "Hillbilly" pouring it out of the DJ; a feeling that was reinforced by some Blue Grass Banjo on the iPod! :thumb:

I also tried another bottle of the own recipe AG Mild. There is still a hint of grapefruit but it is slowly disappearing; unfortunately, it seems to be taking the "dark chocolate" taste with it. Still drinkable though (which is good because I am now down to less than 3 litres of the Marsh Mild)!

A bottle of Lanson Black Label Brut - I'm sure it's the anniversary of something......

an extract beer - we'll wheat again - very refereshing for 7.35%
delerium nocturnum - 75ml bottle 8.5%
and an extract with specialty grain & candi sugar & maple syrup Belgian dark ale. 9.3%

and the delerium was the beer I enjoyed the least :wha:

see the extract why? thread of which the theme is generally why bother with extract, but it works a treat for me!

I'm not anti grain at all I do use it from time to time.

I'm definitely not "anti extract" and double definitely not "anti all-grain" but I must confess that when I did a "partial" last week I seemed to have twice the work for what will probably be a similar result. It's still fermenting away so the jury is still out on that one!

Today I bottled an extract bitter (tasted okay so looking forward to that maturing) and tonight I'm drinking a Fulstows Marsh Mild from an AG kit. (Sob, sob!! Down to my last five bottles!)

elderflower wine for me tonight, brewed last June. very nice too:-)

Started off with a glass of sweetened cider and now on a San Miguel Cuervas (not bad for a lager!) to get another 660ml bottle emptied ready for the next bottling session! :thumb:

I picked up a few pints from a local brewery this afternoon. Scratch (Amber Ale) and Tomcat (Pale Ale) from Red Cat Brewery, in Winchester.

Both very good and fresh as a daisy, putting my efforts at brewing into perspective! I have much to learn!

Had neighbours round and they enjoyed the Quick Cider but left a pint that needed to be disposed of.:whistle:

I have to say that it isn't sitting very well on top of the two pints of Marsh Mild though! :nono::nono:

How does the song go? "When will they ever learn? When will they learn?"

must say at present im liking the 660ml bottles of san miguel at £1.25 from tesco.....saves time bottling ..which is a godsend..

Aha!! I have finally found the culprit who recommended these!!! Thank-you Niman!!

Having invested in eight bottles of San Miguel I have just discovered that they don't fit on any of the shelves I have built!:whistle:

I built them to fit the 650ml flip-tops so I assumed (What's the saying? Makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me"?) that without the flip-top the 660ml bottles would fit - they don't!!

Decisions! Decisions! Chuck away eight bottles or build another line of shelves? The jury is still out!

Cracked open an easy keg of greg hughes honey porter earlier, two weeks into conditioning. Lovely beer, the honey is comeing through nicely. Although it could do with more conditioning as there's a slight astringency from the roasted grains. Was bottling earlier so moved my stock about to make room for the new brew and discovered some bottles of Greg Hughes Dry Stout that I made about 4 months ago. Of course I had to crack one open. Lovely smooth, rich and roasty. I've got about 7 more

Tonight after much nashing of teeth, I finally opened my first bottle of my first AG BIAB Clibit Special..........Woooow!
Even though it was said that it's just as good as the bought stuff, I didn't want to believe it until I tried it - I'm super impressed.
I wish now that I made a bigger batch. Can't wait for the next two batches I brewed with different hops now.

No going back now. Onwards and upwards

Carrying on with the Slovenian IPA tonight. I'm loving AG beer from a mini keg! Must remember it's a bit lively though before I knock too many back, might be wise to limit future keg brews to 5%.

Hammering my way through the Cumberland, Pedigree and Boon Doggle I bought for the bottles (Thats what the wife thought lol). In 4 short weeks I'll be knee deep in a keg of Pride of London, my first ever Home Brew!!

Started in a raspberry turbo cider. Feel ill but the rugby is on so need a drink

I am wearing the red jersey with pride right now and enjoying a rye pale, which I have to say is bloody lovely. Up there with the nicest I've made.

Now the boys just need to stick it to Les bleus for a perfect Friday night

Sob! Sob!! :cry::cry:

Drinking the last bottle of the Fulstows Marsh Mild that I brewed in the New Year.

It's been a great winter drink and one that I will definitely repeat come this December. :thumb: :thumb:
