A pilsner to finish

Testing the strong bitter. Has been in keg for a week but will be transferring half to a polypin to have off the beer engine, and bottling the rest.

Cheated on this one with a Pocket Beer Engine but gives an idea of what the polypin version should look like.

Deep ruby colour, quite clear despite how it looks in the dimpled mug. Fruitcake and a touch of spice. Rather pleased with this.

A pint of Yorkshire Bitter, there isn’t much to love about winter but the fact that it makes the utility room the perfect temperature for bitter is one of them. This was a CML Yorkshire Bitter kit and I was surprised just how much dark crystal it used (5.5%) but it really does suit the beer, combined with a relatively low attenuation it gives the beer more weight than you would expect for a 3.4% beer, and being 3.4% means Incan have a few pints without regretting it, basically a nice solid session ale.
