Mid morning 70% chocolate in Chocolate Fusion cafe, as it's late morning here in Costa Rica.
Local beers will be sampled later on, I assure you.
Had this Imperial brewery Pura Vida lager the other day, nothing to write home about but did have an estery twang on first sampling.
Not bad, just not my favourite style.

Another one from the discounted Belgian beer company box. Only bought 12 of these. A decent but not inspiring Belgian beer. From the name I was expecting some variety of flanders style. Very drinkable though.

The ipa from the same brewery now. I like this. Lots of bitterness with grapefruit and big citrus hit but very balanced flavour. Great colour

Taddy from my trembling madness haul. Decent head, it has a roast and caramel flavour to it that has interest but overall it’s not for me.

A couple from tonight first up Sea Fury again, sill a nice pint.

Second up Off Leash which is a limited edition Red Ale, probably the best beer I’ve had this year, for me it was a corker.

Latest Belgian single to finish..happy with this one considering it was a last ditch choice of dry CML Belgian yeast that I hadn't used before

Testing the Pint365 again. Better, but still a bit foamy to start.

Will vent again, and then before serving. Difficult balance as I don't want the keg lid seal to fail.

Burning Sky Beacon. Described as a European Pale Ale.

Thought there was a bit of sulphur on the first sniff, but seemed to dissipate.

Grassy, dry, some citrus, light spice (phenols?). Very nice.

A bit disappointing level of red, I was expecting a more classic flavour but it’s all American.

My own Italian pilsner and one I bought on my travels. Not massively loving the latter, I think the taste is of too much crystal malt.

Microbrewery Papagyo IPA, La Fortuna, Costa Rica.
New England IPA appearance, but not taste.
I think it's not a fresh example, but the mouthfeel is of hop material without the hoppyness!
I'll have to search out some fresher examples tonight.

Got my first brew in a while to keg this weekend, an El Dorado pale ale which tasted very promising when I checked the gravity and dry hopped it a couple of days ago.
