After several pints of Bitter, it's time for something a bit more robust.

I love Biscoff/speculaas and this completely gets the brief.

No head retention and some floaters, but **** me. It's not beer-flavoured beer, but it's incredible.

Not sure why you like speculaas ?
Seen them used when my wife was having issues with her pregnancy and it wasn’t nice.
Biscoffs nice though.

I give up on them all the time and then see something that piques my interest so “forget” how bad they can be. Then buy it at £4 a can and get reminded why I don’t buy them anymore. The mcewans champion was less than £2 a bottle and far superior.

Yes it is along with pretty much everything else in a bottle. The cans are more and more the same, and artificial.

Throwback to last week and a Canadian west coast ipa. My favourite beer of the Tripp and available nearly everywhere. 7% aggressively bitter and beautiful. Smuggled a few home in the suitcase.

This seems to be basically original Hobgoblin which started at 6.5% then dropped to 5.6% which was the version I first tried and was rather nice, it’s now down to 5% in bottle 4.5% in can.

Evening all, set off in the freezing cold with snow on the ground this morning and now having a rather nice pint of Proper Job outside by the Harbour. Tried to post but had no interweb so a few of basically more of the same plus a mulled wine.

We was in Brixham Harbour last night for the lanterns and fireworks, missed the lanterns whilst at the pub and the one dog didn’t like the fireworks so we had to sit inside and couldn’t really see them

SWMBO bought me the gift pack below because i mentioned i liked the shape of the glass when i saw it online, i don't mind Punk IPA but wont be trying Hazy Jane again.

I think there was an ordinary hobgoblin as well not the 6.6% one

A chefs beer. First Ghost for me, it’s darker than expected, tastes stronger than it is by abv. Reminds me of Greg hughes American ipa.

Got the Brewdog 12 Days of Christmas, currently working my way through.

Highlight was the clockwork. I used to love the Clockwork Tangerine but not seen it in the supermarkets for a few years.

Some hits and some misses, but a decent box for £16
