Roadworks along much of the journey (no one actually doing any work of course just miles of cones and average speed cameras). On the way back a Jack-knifed truck being recovered on the M25 at Gatwick (in Friday rush-hour traffic ), took over an hour to move about 8 miles.

I definitely needed that beer!

I popped round to Booths on my way home and picked up a few bottles of my favourite beer from our local brewery.

Sounds a lot like my drive home through a sea of cop cars and Subaru Impreza’s and boras touching the ground because the Donegal rally is on around my house
But at least we don’t have average speed cameras over here. Gastly things.

Took the dog for a walk on the beach today. Stopped off at my local bottle shop to eat my lunch. A very nice neipa from wild horse. Citra and columbus doing the magic.

Also picked up a few for the weekend.

Last week @dave_77 sent a box of beers including 3 different saisons, so tonight j will be drinking those.

1st up was the plain saison. A very nice beer, bottle conditioned so carb was spot on. Perfect start to the evening

Apparently it's not gonna be below 32C the whole time we're here, so we've come to the barbecue and pool in my son's apartment complex for some lunch. Drinking a peach lager which is yummy.

First week back after a long holiday is always a tough one so down tools early today and a few of these, Hallertau Blanc Pilsener. Still improving, it's a hop I'll use again but it would easy to over do it with this one.

One left over from Father's day, an IPA that looks like a lager !
Nice citrusy bitterness from Centennial and Cascade .
