Extra Stout. About 4l of the full keg (9.5l) ended up in the bottom of my keezer earlier due to a dodgy disconnect. Shame as is tasting quite well.

Second attempt at this beer. First had lots of acetaldehyde due to my underpitching so poured it away. This one poured itself away. I'm taking that as a sign and won't be brewing it again :D

Having enjoyed a 33 of Mahou Clรกsica, The Wise One pointed out that it was a bit watery. Moved on to Saint Anne IPA. A decent pint, not as good as my IPA, mais quand mรชme ! Just nice to drink with others in a dedicated drinking place for a change instead of supping on my terrace. I'd quite forgotten how much I loved Madrid. Was amazing 33 years ago. Even better now. Very reasonable prices for a capital. Cheaper than France, for sure.

We buried my father-in-law today. One of his finest qualities was his love of malt whisky. This is the last glass of a bottle of 13yr old Aberlour he hand filled in 2003 and gave to me on my birthday. And itโ€™s still tasting great.

Slร inte.
